OUTFIT | I’ll Take You To The Opera

Hello peeps! It has been a few hours, not more, since I stepped on Belgian land again. The last 10 days I’ve been in Spain and Russia, taking one plane right after the other. Needless to say that I didn’t have the time to breathe properly, haha! Nevertheless I had a wonderful time in all of the cities that I visited and every day I blissfully wandered through each of them, almost desperate (in a good way) to discover more and more and more. So, especially now I’ve been massively exposed to Russia’s cultural history, vodka, furry hats, coats, everything – I’m STILL NOT SATISFIED! Seriously, although I’m happy to move to my own little place tomorrow and live the student life again in a bit, nothing beats that holiday feeling where you don’t need to worry about a thing. No expectations, no deadlines, no bad days (well make that almost no bad days). While I still keep holding on to that summer feeling a little longer, please don’t mind me sharing this equally sunny look I had still in store for you guys. Sporty yet chique, nothing special actually, only a regular Ornella-look that you’d rather see me in in my everyday life. Nonchalance au top and a little sparkle at the end of the day (read: on my new SVNTY Antwerp sneakers!).

So no, my mind’s not willing to turn the holiday modus off already. I’ve got a whoooole 3 month long -never ending, I hoped- summer behind me and it feels great to know that no one will ever be able to take that away from me. The following will sound like a big cliché but that doesn’t make it less true: I made so many beautiful memories over the past 3 months that some of them almost feel unreal, and I’m more grateful than ever. This summer I learned to live more in the moment itself, to let go quicker of bad thoughts, to suppress my fear of missing out on things. People teach you so many things, even those who you least expect it from. Thank you, to all of you that made my summer of 2017 a little more magical, even in the tiniest details.

Still always yours.
