OUTFIT | The Pastel Pink Teddy Coat

By vrijdag, november 3, 2017 2 Permalink
I often get multiple questions from friends, family but also you regarding my favorite cities to shop.  Truth is I could come up with one, maybe two examples (like Antwerp & Brussels) that are anything but original. I mean who wasn’t been in one of those yet, hoping to find something they’re looking for? The story generally ends the same: coming home with sore feet and happiness hormones bulging out of your new conquered bags.

I too love to stroll in Belgium’s metropolitan cities. But for a more genuine, jovial mood and setting I prefer small cities, where I get amazed every time I discover another beautiful boutique. So to give you a collective answer on the matter: secretly Maastricht ranks really high on my list. Freshest catch: this superfluffy pastel pink teddy coat!

My girlfriends adore it and would basically kill for it, on the other hand my boyfriend thinks it’s nothing less than hideous and gruesome. I tend to join my gf’s opinions and wear my baby as much as I can. Much more than I had ever expected, the teddy coat matches the rest of my precious wardrobe! I even wear it to the gym, above shorts and trainers. And when Winter’s coming, I’ll be more ready than ever before.  That same day in Maastricht and even in the same store, I found this pretty ruffle dress (a slightly other shade of pastel pink) and immediately noticed the superb match. The fabric feels like satin sheets and is incredibly pleasant to wear. Only detriment: it tends to wrinkle up super fast, so I’d better start living next to my ironer.

I also have this thing for tight overknees; I already had pitch black ones and was looking for another grey pair. After I had tried several pairs in stores in Leuven -which weren’t high or tight enough, other times the color just wasn’t right- I found these with snake print details on the heels. And I think it’s easy for you to guess where by now: in Maastricht! They’re one of my best buys lately since they are so comfortable and pretty, and not unimportant: really not that expensive. By the way: you can buy the boots and dress online by simply scrolling to the ‘I was wearing’ section below and clicking the respective item link!

These pictures were shot on October 11th, one day before my 22nd birthday. I find it so obvious to see that I was super happy and excited that day, ’cause I’ve rarely seen myself so genuinely, blissfully smiling at the camera. Another series of an equally lovable outfit that I shot with my babe Annelies are coming up next week. I hope you enjoy the pictures and love this look as much I do!

What are your favorite cities for shopping?

Love, Ornella.
